New Samsung and Google Android Tablets for 2013

0

Samsung has proven themselves many times over to be the number one mobile device manufacturer by not only their own devices but helping Google with theirs. Samsung is pretty quiet about their upcoming devices until they are ready to unveil them to the world but with so many people waiting for the next Samsung device its hard to keep under wraps. This year 2013 Samsung has several new Tablets that have leaked specs available to us all.

There are not only a couple Samsung specific devices to look forward to but also a new 11 inch Google tablet they currently have in the works. Samsung decided this time to add a little more screen to their 7 inch tablets putting them at 8 inches, and the 10 inch tablets bumped up to 11 inches. Below are the new 2013 devices and rumored specs for each.

New Samsung Tablets 2013Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.0

  • 8.0 inch AMOLED 1080p Display
  • 5 Megapixel rear and 2 Megapixel front cameras
  • Quad-core A9 Exynos 4412 Processor
  • microSD slot to expand an additional 64 GB of storage

Samsung Galaxy Tab 11

  • 11 inch Super PLS TFT Display
  • 8 Megapixel rear and 2 Megapixel front cameras
  • Dual-core A15 Exynos 5250 Processor
  • microSD slot to expand an additional 64 GB of storage

Google Branded Nexus 11

  • 11 inch Super PLS TFT Display
  • 8 Megapixel rear and 2 Megapixel front cameras
  • Octa-core A15 / A7 Exynos 5410 Processors
  • microSD slot to expand an additional 64 GB of storage

There are still a few things that need to be worked out before these become a reality as one issue Samsung is having is a AMOLED burning issue with the 8 inch display on the Galaxy Tab 8.0 and the fact that they still need Google’s approval on the Google Nexus 11. Of course both of these issues should be a non issue for Samsung besides a few tweaks Google may make before production. This being said the Google Nexus 11 would be the first octa-core tablet and would be a milestone for Samsung and Google alike.

We aren’t entirely sure if Samsung will try to keep the tablets around the same dimensions and just remove some of the bevel to make the screen larger or just make the entire tablet bigger. We of course hope for little bevel and larger screen. Another feature that is unclear is the addition of an S-Pen which currently is a Note feature but would be nice to see added to these as well.

If you are looking to get any of these tablets or notice any other features that we may have forgotten please let us know via comments below. As we find out more information we will be sure to share with you all.
