Google+ Circles vs Facebook Friends List:
Facebook doesn’t encourage grouping friends although you can still create groups using their list feature. This is not as easy as googles drag and drop interface. Google Plus has introduced a whole new concept of grouping made easy using their html5 drag and drop interface. Google Plus easily wins in this fight.

Google+ Hangout vs Facebook Video Calling:
Recently Facebook has partnered with Skype to introduce their new video chat feature. This new feature allows leaving video messages however doesn’t support Linux or group chatting. Google Plus allows group chatting with up to 10 people with focus automatically going to the person speaking. Google Plus allows video messaging and supports Windows, Mac & Linux. Again Google Plus wins.

Google+ Huddle vs Facebook Chat for Mobile Devices:
Google Plus Huddle is a text chat app for movie devices with no limit on group size (that we are aware of). There is also the availability of Gtalk on desktop browsers. Facebook has no chat feature included in their mobile app although they do have XMPP or Jabber protocol to allow creating custom chat applications for mobile devices. Although Facebook has the ability to be head to head with Google Plus in this category, standard function goes to Google+.

Google+ Location vs Facebook Places:
Facebook does not allow you to share location information directly from your wall and is limited to some countries while Google Plus has one click sharing with your friends. Again Google Plus seems to win.

While Google Plus seems to win in all of the major categories there are a few things that Google Plus still has yet to implement that Facebook has.

• Facebook Business Pages
• Facebook Games
• Facebook Questions

We know its only a matter of time before all of these features are added to Google+ seeing as the business page concept is already in testing and available to a select few businesses already.

I bet you can’t guess what its called, thats right its called “One Click Unbrick”. One thing that is pretty consistent among most Android users is the fact that almost all of us root our phones. In some cases the phones get bricked whether it be because you were lazy and skipped a step in the process or even just tried to do it with bad instructions. While ODIN isn’t that difficult for advanced Android users its not really for the average user.

Its great to know we can play freely on Samsung devices and not have to worry about bricking them ever.

I am an advocate of healthy living in what you eat, how you exercise and just being informed in general about what is deemed healthy by Medicine and Science but proven to be unreliable in practice.

Facts to get you started:

• Its illegal in the US to treat cancer by any means other than chemotherapy, surgery or radiation.
• Only around 6% of doctors in the US have any formal nutrition training.

Not to get too personal but I lost my mother in January of this year (January 10th 2011) at the age of 53 to Leukemia and Health has been an important subject in my life since.  I have since (after much research) learned that most cancers can be treated with high doses of Vitamin C (Gerson Institute).  While I really don’t eat healthy nor do I exercise as I should its important that others know what resources are out there to improve their health.

I have been looking throughout Health related apps on the Market and have found a few that are worth using in your daily life.

1. Ask Karen – While not specifically an app it is a mobile .gov site dedicated to answering your questions about food. Ever wanted to know if what you made for diner last night (that you accidentally left out all night) is still ok to eat? or maybe what is in pork that can be harmful to you if not stored properly. This is a great resource for these questions and more.
2. Alternative Medicine Android App – Most people when not feeling well have conventional medicine as the first thought that pops into their head. While the pharmaceutical industry is a multi-trillion dollar industry they are businesses and interested more in your money than your actual health. If you think about it why would medicine ever want to cure you? If people could look past the quick fix and focus on the underlying issue they would see that the human body is built to heal itself. This being said there are alternative medicines out there that will help your body fight an illness and fix the underlying cause instead of masking it for a while.
3. Super Foods Android App – This app will show you super foods that will help your body get all of the nutrition you need. While multi-vitamins are helpful in supplementing what your body needs they will not be as effective as they are in uncooked raw foods. These vitamins need to be in foods of higher doses to be truly effective and this app will show you what those super foods are.

While I have only mentioned a few resources here there are many out there and if I leave you thinking about better health I have done what I intended. Also please keep in mind the next time you go to the doctor and get a prescription that its a business that cares about temporary health not healing.

Samsung, the worlds largest computer-memory chip maker filed another lawsuit against Apple. The lawsuit claims that the iPad, iPhone and iPod’s use patented technology developed by Samsung.

The latest case is Samsung Electronics Co. v. Apple Inc., U.S. District Court, District of Delaware (Wilmington).

“Apple has copied many of Samsung’s innovations in its Apple iPhone, iPod and iPad products,” say lawyers for Samsung Electronics Co.

Along side this lawsuit Samsung filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission in Washington to block importing of any devices allegedly infringing on their copyrights.

“They seem to have a lot to talk about,” Seo Won Seok, a Seoul-based analyst at NH Investment & Securities Co., said. “With these steps they are taking now, they seem to be trying to take a favorable position as part of the process to reach an agreement on cross-licensing in the end.”

Its nice to see someone fight back with Apple instead of caving in and allowing Apple to walk all over the market doing as they please. Finally the bully is being stood up to and if all goes well at a minimum the suites Apple has against Samsung will be dropped allowing Samsung to freely be innovators again.
